Najah is used by students of all ages, including primary-school children. Protecting children is our absolute priority. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and how to report it. It applies to all content and interactions in the app: the community, answers, study groups and their messages, profiles and the private-tutor directory.
Zero tolerance. Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any behaviour intended to harm children is strictly prohibited. Such content is removed immediately, the account is permanently banned, and it is reported to the competent authorities.
Prohibited behaviour
- Creating, posting, sharing, requesting or storing any child sexual abuse material, including edited, AI-generated or drawn imagery.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor in order to exploit them, trying to move the conversation to private messaging apps, or asking them to keep secrets from their parents.
- Sexualisation of minors: any sexual comment, message or content concerning a minor.
- Asking a minor for personal or intimate photos or videos, or sextortion.
- Asking children for personal data (address, phone number, school, location) or arranging meetings without their parents’ knowledge.
- Child trafficking or its promotion, or any content glorifying harm to children.
- Bullying, harassment or threats directed at children.
Built-in protections
- Automatic content filtering (banned-word list, anti-spam rules) and automatic hiding of content that receives several reports, pending review.
- Children’s contact details are never shown publicly; there is no open private messaging between strangers outside study groups.
- Private-tutor profiles are reviewed before publication, and no payments happen in the app.
- A child’s account can be linked to a parent’s account so the parent can follow activity.
- Children only see non-personalised, general-audience ads.
How to report in the app
- Tap the options button (⋯) on the post, answer, group message, profile or group.
- Choose “Report” and the appropriate reason (e.g. “Inappropriate content” or “Abuse”), adding details if you can.
- Tap “Block” to stop the user contacting you and hide their content.
Never send copies of illegal content or re-share it, even to report it: the report is enough and we will handle the rest.
Report by email
Anyone, even without an account, can report to tamkeen3600@gmail.com, giving the username or a description of the content, where it appears in the app and the date. Child-safety reports are handled with the highest priority.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police (17), the National Gendarmerie (1055) or the child-protection hotline (11 11) in Algeria, or your local emergency services, right away.
Moderation and timelines
- Child-safety reports are reviewed with top priority, as quickly as possible and within 24 hours at most.
- Violating content is removed as soon as it is confirmed; the offending account is permanently banned and may be prevented from creating new accounts.
- Necessary evidence is preserved securely with restricted access, only to the extent required by law or requested by investigators.
Reporting to authorities
We report child sexual abuse material and any danger to a child to the competent Algerian authorities (the General Directorate of National Security, the National Gendarmerie and the National Body for the Protection and Promotion of Childhood) and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the authorities of the country concerned, and we cooperate fully with any lawful investigation.
